2D fighting game originally released for arcades in 2005 by SNK Playmore and ported to PlayStation 2 in 2006.
The game features 2D graphics while the background has some 3D polygon elements, the roster includes 28 characters in total and 8 among them are newcomers.
The gameplay is similar to the previous episode and a Spirit System was introduced, which allows the player to choose between 6 different fighting styles.
Samurai Spirits VI was released only in Japan.
