(PS1) Tekken

Tekken was released in arcades as a cheap option to Virtua Fighter 2 and immediately gained consensus among the gamers.
Based on System 11 arcade board it was really simple to port to Playstation, so at the beginnig of sprin 1995 another round between SEGA and Namco, after Virtua Fighter vs. Ridge Racer, appeared on home consoles (Saturn got Daytona USA in the same month).
The PS1 port adds all sub-bosses unlockable plus Devil, Kazuya’s alter ego, for a total of 17 characters playable (the arcade is only 8); with a simple but intuitive gameplay (all limbs have a specific button), Tekken became a success on both arcades and Playstation, starting a series that is still very popular nowadays.
