(N64) Baku Bomberman

The first entry in the series entirely in 3D was published by Hudson on Nintendo 64 in 1997.
Unlike the other titles Baku Bomberman (released as “Bomberman 64” in the West) is an action adventure with platform stages. Bomberman now can walk in 8 directions and the camera can be rotated and allows 3 different levels of zoom; the bomb explosion also changed, from the cross shaped effect to a spherical pattern which can hit enemies on higher platforms.
Bomberman can throw bombs but also pick them up and throw without the need of specific power-ups as in the other titles, he cannot jump so to reach higher platform it’s necessary to use a “Bomb jumping” move.
