Xelan Force is a vertical shoot’em up developed and published by Pixel.
The game reminds the old Famicom titles with a limited colour palette, similar sound effects and an old gameplay similar to classics like Star Soldier; the gameplay is focused on a “Pilot Level Score” system which changes the difficult level depending on the player’s skill: as the difficulty level increases, the score rate also increases.
The game was originally released in November 2023 in physical form for PC and yesterday the official site has been open adding a Switch version available through the eShop from February (no specific date has been revealed yet) and Steam release.
The PC release includes a DVD case, the game on CD, the manual and the Steam key.
