Taito has communicated that the third entry in their “Taito Milestones” series will be physically released before the end of the year.
Taito Milestones is a collection of 10 games released for arcades by Taito through the 80’s and 90’s and each volume has always at least one game that for the first time is ported to console.
The first volume was released in February 2022 and included Alpine Ski, Elevator Action, Chack’n Pop, The Ninja Warriors, Halley’s Comet, The Fairy Land Story, Front Line and Wild Western.
The second volume, released in August 2023, included Ben Berd Beh, The Legend of Kage, Kikikaikai, The New Zealand Story, Darius II, Mizubaku Daibouken, Gun Frontier, Solitary Fighter, Metal Black and Dino Rex.
The incoming third volume seems like to be the best in the series considering it will include:
– Bubble Bobble
– Rainbow Island
– Rastan Saga
– Rastan Saga II
– Warrior Blade: Rastan Saga III
– Cadash
– Champion Wrestler
– Dead Connection
– Thunder Fox
– Runark
For both Warrior Blade: Rastan Saga III (1991) and Dead Connection (1992) it’s the first time their are ported to console.
Taito Milestones vol.3 will be released in Japan on 28 November 2024 only for Switch.
