Success today held a presentation in Toyko to announce a new game in the vertical shoot’em up series Sonic Wings.
Sonic Wings Reunion, this is the title, comes 26 years after the latest release Sonic Wings Assault and members of that team are in charge of the development for the newly announced game.
Set in a generic 20XX year, the player has to fight against a mysterious organization “Fata Morgana” which controls super weapons using unknown technology.
Success announced that there will be included various difficulty levels to allow new comers and experienced people to enjoy the game and furthermore a cooperative play mode will be available only for home consoles.
Sonic Wings Reunion is planned to be released on 29 May 2025 for both Switch and PlayStation 5 in digital and physical version, the latter includes also a limited edition, while on PC it will be available on Steam and support for multi-languages have been already confirmed (English, French, German, Spanish and Portuguese).
But besides the home consoles an arcade version will debut on same day based on ALL net P-ras MULTI version 3, a system that allows different games hosted on a single machine, produced by SEGA.
