Virtua Fighter 3tb online

Yesterday SEGA has revealed a video showing a new version of Virtua Fighter 3tb that is going to be playable on arcades in Japan.

Virtua Fighter 3 was released on 1996 in arcades and later a revision called Virtua Fighter 3tb added team battles (“tb” stands for Team Battle) which was later ported to Dreamcast.
After 27 years the game is going to be re-released with online functions, based on the same technology used for the last chapter in the series : Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown and a re-arranged soundtrack.

As mentioned, this new version will have online functions such as multi-player matches while using the AIME card allows the player to save battle results. The total battle results for “Team Battle” and “Normal Battle” will be displayed while playing.
Both gameplay modes allow the player to join online matches all around the country (National Battle) or in the same arcade center (In-Store Battle) while a password system let friends to play against each other (Password Battle).

The game is playable for 2 matches with 1 credit. If the player loses in a battle mode with a player (National Battle, In-Store Battle, Password Battle) or reach the maximum number of consecutive wins, player’s match number will decrease by one.
When the remaining matches counter reaches 0, the game is over; if all stages are cleared in Single Battle the game will be over regardless of the number of matches remaining (AIME Card allows an additional match but but it depends on the setting chosen by store).

Virtua Fighter 3tb will run on ALL.Net P-ras MULTI ver.3 cabinents and will be available in arcades all around the country from 28 November 2023.
