Scarlet Symphony was originally developed by Frontier Aja and released for PC in 2009 and the port for Switch has been released today.
The game is a 2D side scrolling action game set in a classic gothic horror background, not so much different from Castlevania series.
The Switch port features a revamped graphics from the PC release and an “Extra Easy” Mode (the original game is not easy) had been added, some in-game challenges and an enhanced gameplay.
Released as retail only in Japan and available from today, Scarlet Symphony also comes with a Limited Edition with additional items :
– original cardboard box
– art book illustration (34 pages)
– the original soundtrack on 2 CDs (27 songs in total)
– original acrylic stand
