Scarlet Symphony 2 is a 2D action game sequel to the title originally released on PC in 2009 and ported to Switch in 2022.
CFK, the publisher of the game, has announced new info about the game : a new character has been revealed, Reimu Hakurei, who was the main heroine of the first episode.
A “Boss Rush” mode has also been revealed, where the player has to defeat various characters from Touhou series; there are different courses available because they are depending on the relationship between Touuhou characters.
After the debut in the Switch HD port of the first episode, the “Extra Easy” mode will return, allowing players who are not good with action games to play until the end due to the enemy’s physical strength and attack power significantly reduced; this mode can be selected in the beginning as an option.
Last new entries are the “Challenges”, from easy-to-achieve to advanced ones and “Collection” that let the player to watch again the events seen in the game and listen the BGM.
Scarlet Symphony 2 is going to be released on PC and Switch while the latter will have also a physical release in Japan in both normal and limited editions from 14 December 2023.
