Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma is the new title in Rune Factory series, developed and published by Marvelous in 2025.
The story takes places in the never-before-seen eastern country of Azuma.
The player will control the main character that can use Earth Dancer powers and must fight against corruption spreading through Azuma to bring hope back to this once prosperous land.
Originally set for a 29 May release, today Marvelous have announced that the game will be postponed; this is not a terrible news cause the new release date is set just a week later in order to match the Nintendo Switch 2 release, on 5 June.

Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma for Nintendo Switch 2 offers a higher resolution and better framerate and it will be possible to use the Joycon as mouse while creating and managing the village.
Furthermore those who have already pre-ordered the game can play the game on Switch 2 or buy the upgrade to benefit from the exclusive features of the new Nintendo console. In this regard it is interesting to notice that despite no price have been announced for the upgrade, the difference in price between Switch and Switch 2 version is around 1,000 yen so it is possible that Nintendo Switch 2 Enhanced upgrades will have a price similar.

The game includes Japanese and English text and French, German and Spanish text. Considering no mention regarding differences between the two version have been announced, it is legit to think that Nintendo Switch 2 Japanese games will have multi-languages options.
