Announced a couple of weeks ago for both Switch and PlayStation 4, Ray’z Arcade Chronology is a compilation of 3 vertical shoot’em up games from Taito : RayForce, RayStorm and RayCrisis, released in the second half of the 90’s for arcades and ported to Saturn and PlayStation (but RayCrisis was exclusive to PS1).
The compilation includes also the HD remaster of RayStorm and RayCrisis, the latter is a brand new version while the former is based on the RayStorm HD game released in 2010.
Today two of the most prominent electronic stores in Japan, Yodobashi and Bic Camera, have listed both the normal and the limited editions.
Expect a huge and voluminous box like the previous Taito limited edition, Darius Cozmic Collection, at least according to the available picture; this special release includes a Live Music on one blu-ray disc and two cd discs, a “Ray’z Orbital Operation” artbook, a “Ray’z Mission Maneuver Manual” strategy guidebook, 5 reprint instruction cards and 3 reprint leafleats.
Ray’z Arcade Chronology is planned to be released on 9 March 2023.
