Rainbow Cotton gets a HD remake

Today ININ Games has announced, in collaboration with Success, the HD remake of Rainbow Cotton, the 3D rail shooting originally released on Dreamcast in 2000.

The game was the 5th title in the series, starring a young witch Cotton and her fairy Silk fighting against the wicked demon Tweed who has stolen the Legendary Willow from the enchanting land of York Country.

The remake uses a high definition detailed graphics but keeps intact the spirit of the original gameplay, adding enhanced controls, graphical enhancements such as particle effects and ambient occlusion and supports the English language, including the animated cutscenes.

Rainbow Cotton will be released on spring 2024 for Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series in digital form, no mention was made of a possible physical release.
