Released in the summer of 1996 and later on Neo Geo systems, The King of Fighters 96 was ported to Saturn by the end of the same year.
The game introduced new techniques such as the ability to roll away or towards the opponent, to determine the height of the jumps and more powerful Super moves were added.
The RAM Pack is a special edition which includes the 1Mb RAM Cartridge but it’s not mandatory : by using it additional animations are available.
The King of Fighters 96 was released only in Japan.
