(SAT) The House of the Dead

SEGA’s most famous gun-shooting game, originally released for arcades in March 1997 and ported to Saturn 12 months later.
Developed by AM1 team, includes non-linear stages and a gory aesthetic background; the player assumes the role of agent Thomas Rogan (and “G” in multi-player) and has to stop the mad scientist Dr. Curien from his dangerous and inhumane experiments that generated a multitude of zombies.
The game can be played with the standard controller or the official Mouse but undoubtedly gives its best when played with the lighting guns. The Saturn port includes extra game modes with selectable characters with different weapons and a Boss Rush Mode.
The House of the Dead was well received by critics and public and contributed to popularise, with Biohazard released a year before, the “zombie” genre.
