(SAT) Ragnagard

2D fighting game developed by Saurus and published by SNK originally for arcades in 1996 and ported to Saturn in 1997.
Based on Shinto deities, Ragnagard uses pre-rendered sprites similar to Killer Instinct while the gameplay includes an Aerial Battle System where air combos and air dashing can be performed by pushing up the joystick and press both weak kick and punch buttons; there is also a gauge bar which let the player perform a Desperation Move and a Super Desperation Move which is available only when the character is flashing red, similar to The King of Fighters series.
The Saturn porting is based on Neo Geo CD one which added a more detailed intro, a cleaner background music and some other tweaks, while new modes, control customization and improved graphics and gameplay were exclusive for the Saturn porting.
Ragnagard was released only in Japan.
