(PS1) Rival Schools

3D fighting game by Capcom released in 1997 for arcades and ported to PlayStation in 1998.
The game takes inspiration from another Capcom 3D fighting game, Star Gladiator, and uses a 4 button setup; set in world of Japanese high school, the player has to select a couple of characters from a school and he can switch them only at the end of the round, the partner is then used only as an assist.
The PlayStation port comes with 2 discs : the first one is the original arcade game with animated sequences and adds two characters, the second disc, name Evolution, adds several minigames based on students’ activities and a “Story mode” where the player has to create a student and go through a typical school year.
