(PS1) Rage Racer

The 3rd installment in the Ridge Racer series on PS1 was published by Namco in 1996.
Based on the arcade game Rave Racer, introduced the credit systems used by the player to buy cars and upgrade them; each manufacturer offers a standard and a secret car, the latter is unlocked when the top racing class is reached.
The game is a little bit more realistic and graphically darker than its predecessors, it was positively received by critics and consumers but but criticized for the lack of improvements over the previous games.
