(PS1) Final Fantasy Tactics

A tactical RPG based on Final Fantasy universe which tooke advantage of Final Fantasy 7 huge popularity (released just 6 months earlier).
Set in the fantasy world of Ivalice, Final Fantasy Tactics goes back to 2D graphics and sprites, and offers a very strategic gameplay : the player has to set characters from his party on the battlefield and then move them accordingly, based on a limited area each character can move, just like the individual pieces in a chess game. Attack are made with weapons, particular character skills or magic and after a successful action a character gets JP point which are used to learn new abilities.
Not easy to handle, especially in the beginnig, but once mastered it becomes a very interesting title for those who love strategic games.
