(PS1) DonPachi (PS The Best)

2D vertical shoot’em up developed and published by Cave for arcades in 1995 and ported to PlayStation by SPS in 1996.
The game has 5 stages and after completing them the storyline introduces a new mission that will reveal, after the second loop, the true boss of the series; known for its “Get Point System” that multiplies the score if large groups of enemies are destroyed in a short time, the Saturn port added a Score Attack mode, a new Easy difficult level and various display options.
The PlayStation port is a more faithful recreation of the arcade original, featuring the same display options as the Saturn release, the ability to adjust the default number of lives and faster loading times. However, both releases have audio quality issues.
Donpachi was released only in Japan, this is the budget version that was released in 2001 with a different cover from the original.
