(PCE) R-Type part I

One of the most iconic shoot’em up created, a commercial success in 1987 and the port made the following year for PC Engine boosted sales for the NEC/Hudson system.
It’s obviously a downgrade from the original arcade, a slightly lower resolution, reduced colour palette and some slowdowns, but the real problem is that it was split in two parts.
The gameplay is focused around the Force, an auxiliary device taht can be attacched in front or back of the player’s ship and can be used a a shield, or detached for providing an extra fire.
