The first game starring Mickey Mouse on Megadrive and the first in the “Illusion” series which was released also between Master System and Game Gear.
It’s a 2D side scrolling action with platform elements, Mickey can bounce while jumping to hit enemies or he can throw them some apples and marbles found through the stages. There are 5 different levels and after finishing them Mickey will finally face the boss, the evil witch Mizrabel, who has kidnapped Minnie Mouse.
Castle of Illusion was highly praised for gameplay and graphics, detailed animations, intuitive controls and the great soundtrack.
