Vertical shoot’em up originally released on PC-8801 in 1989 and ported to Mega CD in 1993 by Game Arts.
The story runs around a space war where terrorist hacked the computer of Earth giving them the control of all space weaponry of the solar system.
Silpheed on Mega CD version uses polygon graphics and cinematic animations scenes and at the time of its release was praised for both gameplay and stunning visual.
