(MCD) Dennin Aleste

2D vertical shoot’em up developed and published by Compile in 1992.
Set in an alternative Sengoku era with giant mechas, the player controls Aleste, a mecha piloted by Kagerou. Regarding the gameplay the sideship system was completely redesigned and by collecting chips dropped by some friendly ships the main weapon can be powered up while only one subweapon can be equipped at a time.
Dennin Aleste was well received and praised for the good graphics and Mega CD’s sprite scaling and rotation features.
