(GBA) Tekken Advance

Namco’s fighting game debuted on Nintendo systems in 2001 with the release for Gameboy Advance.
Despite not being included in the canonical storyline the game follows the event seen in Tekken 3 and it’s heavily based on it : the graphics engine uses sprites based on its 3D models and the roster also is almost identical.
The gameplay was drastically changed due the lack of buttons, A is used for generic kicks while B for punch and L and R for tagging and throws; despite the simplification there were new mechanisms introduced such as the right/let stuns, the pop stuns and the crumple stuns.
Tekken Advance was well received especially for the graphics and for keeping a solid gameplay.
