SEGA’s arcade tennis returns in 2001, released on NAOMI board for arcades it was ported to Dreamcast at the end of the same year.
The first big upgrade from the first chapter is the ability to play with female players (the roster includes Monica Seles, Venus and Serena Williams and Lindsay Davenport); another new feature is the World Tour which let the player to join a series of tournaments yearly calendarized while the players’ abilities can be improved by completing a set of different training exercises.
Virtua Tennis 2 was highly acclaimed by critics and public.
