3D fighting game developed by SEGA’s AM2 internal team and published originally for arcades in 1996 and ported to Dreamcast in 1998.
The 3rd title in the series introduced a fourth button used for dodging, similar to other 3D fighting games released in those years, 2 new characters were added to the roster and some stages have undulations, like rafts on the water in Shun stage.
The Dreamcast port is based on the second version of the game (“tb” stands for Team Battle) and comes with an extra CD which includes a look back of previous Yu Suzuki’s games and his views about Shenmue.
Virtua Fighter 3tb supports VGA output.
