(DC) The King of Fighters 2001

In 2000 SNK went bankrupt but in the same year a korean company, Eolith, signed a license agreement so the King of Fighters series was saved.
Eolith didn’t make more changes to gameplay, the most significant is the return of teams composed by four characters, which introduces the Tactical Order System where the player can choose which character will serve as striker and this affects the number of Power Gauge stocks.
The roster includes 10 teams, a sub-boss with 3 strikers and the final boss for a total of 45 characters; it was well received despite the initial doubts even if some critics were focused on Igniz, the last boss, difficulty.
It was released only in Japan, VGA output supported.
