The seventh installement of King of Fighters was the last one made by SNK before going bankruptcy and was ported to Dreamcast after 2 years to the original arcade release.
The striker system from KoF99 was kept but, new feature for this episode, the assisting character can now cooperate with the playable character to generate powerful combos.
The King of Fighters 2000 was released only in Japan and supports VGA output.
