(SAT) Darius II

Darius II was originally released in arcades in 1989 and used the same dual monitors gameplay already seen a year before in Ninja Warriors, another game from Taito.
It’s a horizontal shoot’em up, your ship can shoot and drop bombs infinitely and both weapons can be upgraded by some power-ups: red for main shot, green for bombs, gold adds laser and blue adds a shield.
The game was ported on all SEGA systems, starting from Megadrive in 1990 and then to Master System in 1992 but for obvious reasons both games were inferior to the original port.
In 1996 the Sega Saturn porting was the nearest version to the arcade, of course without the use of dual monitors : the screen play can be zoomed in and out by pressing R and L; it was also the first port to support 2 players.
