P-47 II MD

P-47: The Phantom Fighter is a horizontal shoot’em up developed by NMK and published for arcades by Jaleco.
Following this release various ported were published (PC Engine, Amiga, Commodore 64, Atari ST) but the Megadrive version was not released despite being in development.

The game is a horizontal shoot’em up set during World War II where the player controls a P-47 Thunderbolt fighter aircraft. There are 8 different stages set in various countries of the world and through the game power-up items can be found by defeating some enemies which grant bombs and missiles or increase the aircraft firepower.

This spring City Connection announced that the unreleased Megadrive version was going to be published and today it has been revealed that they will host a live stream at Mikado Arcade Center in Tokyo where more information will be given to the public.
City Connection CEO Nobuhiro Yoshikawa will present the event with former Jaleco member Masahiro Arai and Ikeda Minorock, manager of Mikado Arcade Center.

The live stream can be followed on Mikado’s Youtube channel on 1 December 2024 at 20:00 local time (12:00 CET, 11:00 GMT, 06:00 EST and 03:00 PST).
