Ninja Slayer announced for PC, console versions to follow?

Ninja Slayer

Ninja Slayer is a manga that was originally published in 2012.

The story is set in a dystopic and futuristic city called Neo Saitama, where Kenji Fujikido wants to get revenge after his family has been killed by a mysterious ninja.
After being possessed by a mysterious ninja soul known as Naraku Ninja who wants to eradicate the evil ninjas from the world, both start their personal revenge bringing into existence Ninja Slayer, a terrifying ninja-killing grim reaper.

Kadokawa, which is also the publisher of the manga, a couple of days ago has announced through the subsidiary Kadokawa Games a game based on this series.

Kadokawa launched a trailer which shows a side scrolling action game with a fast-paced gameplay: Ninja Slayer moves faster than the enemies and unleashes attacks that are unstoppable. While the game is based on the exhilarating play of defeating a large number of enemies along the way, there are some scenes that require gimmicky strategies.

The game is planned to be released this summer for PC (Steam) with also support for English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Portuguese languages.
Considering Kadokawa is a consolidated publisher also for consoles (Metal Max series, RPG Maker series, Demon’s Gaze series just to name a few) there are good chances that the game will be in the future released for Switch and PlayStation 5.
