A new Macross game has been announced during Bushiroad Games presentation for 2023.
There are not so much information except for the name of the developer, Kaminari Games, who worked on Miss Kobayashi Dragon Maid, a vertical shoot’em up released in 2022 for Switch and PlayStation 4 and another regarding the gameplay.
Despite being announced as side scrolling shoot’em up, similar to Macross Scramble Valkyrie (1993, Super Famicom) or Macross Do You Remember Love (1997, Saturn and PlayStation), from the short trailer showed by Bushiroad it’s also possible to see that apparently there are some vertical sections, similar to Macross Plus, a vertical shoot’em up released for arcades in 1996.
That’s all we actually know about Macross Shooting Insight, this is the official title, planned to be released for Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC this year, no words have been done regarding a physical edition yet.
