Today Japanese electronic stores Yodobashi and Bic Camera have listed a compilation from PiXEL Co. Ltd. which includes 2 titles previously released on digital store.
Horgihugh and Friends is a horizontal shoot’em up with 2D pixel graphics, includes 8 different stages and it’s designed to be played by both experienced people and who is not familiar with shoot’em up games thanks to “Figaro Mode”, a special mode created for beginners.
The second title of the compilation is Enryuu Seiken Xiao-Mei, roughly translated as “Flame Dragon Holy Fist Xiao-Mei”.
It’s a side scrolling action game similar to classics like Kung Fu Master with a 16 bit style graphics; originally released for PC, the Switch version adds new songs and new characters.
The soundtrack is made by Namco’s legend composer Norio Nakagata (“Genpei Toumaden”, “Bravoman”) while the sound effects are made by Hirofumi Murasaki (“The Super Shinobi II”, “Clockwork Knight”)
While Horgihugh was physically released in the West, Enryuu Seiken Xiao-Mei was only released in digital format; the compilation will be officially presented during the Tokyo Game Show 2022 and will be published on Switch, only in Japan, on December 2022.
