Famitsu has released its videogame sales chart for the week from 12 to 18 February 2024.
The highest new entry is the top seller of the week: Mario vs. Donkey Kong (SWI) sold 61,930 units, the runner-up is another Mario game, Super Mario Bros. Wonder (SWI) with 13,036 units sold and the third place is held by Momotaro Dentetsu World (SWI) with 10,355 units sold.
A lot of new entries this week after a little break in the previous one: besides the already mentioned Mario vs. Donkey Kong there is The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak (SWI) with 7,160 units sold at #6, Skull and Bones (PS5) with 6,635 units sold at #7, Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition (PS5) with 3,844 units sold at #17, Front Mission 2 Remake (SWI) with 3,182 units sold at #23 and Gunvolt Records Cychronicle (SWI) with 2,375 units sold which closes the top 30.
Combined sales for the top 10 games in the charts are 130,851 units, almost 50% more than the previous week but most of these sales are due to Mario vs. Donkey Kong, the Gameboy Advance remake performed very well while the other new entries are minor titles which naturally do not have much impact on the total.
Hardware side, it was a calm week with almost all systems keep similar sales from the previous week: Switch OLED with 35,962 units was the top seller system, followed by PlayStation 5 with 33,003 units and Switch Lite with 7,229 units. The 4th place was grabbed by Switch with 5,200 units which overpassed a slightly decreasing PlayStation 5 Digital (5,179 units).
In the bottom, Xbox Series X (1,042 units) is the only system with 4 digits sales, Xbox Series S sold only 605 units and PlayStation 4 sold 467 units.
