Famitsu weekly sales 8 – 14 August 2022

Here is the second part of the Famitsu weekly chart which was delayed due to the summer holidays in Japan.

The week from 8 to 14 August, as usual for holiday weeks, didn’t see any new release so the chart is pretty similar to the previous week, fully dominated by Switch with Nintendo Switch Sports holding the top spot and Mario Kart 8 and Kirby and the Forgotten Land climbing up to reach the rest of the podium.
No particular mentions need to be done except for Kirby : Star Allies which re-entered into the chart after 3 weeks and it’s close to become the next retail million seller for Switch.

The OLED version of Switch doubled PS5 sales but at least the Sony system sold better than Switch other models, not the same thing can be said for the digital version which is still selling even less than Xbox Series models.
