Publisher Soft Source Publishing and the Indonesian developer Digital Happiness have announced a remaster collection for DreadOut.
DreadOut is a survival horror game based on Indonesian folklore that originally was published on PC in 2014. A sequel was published in 2020 not only on PC but also on consoles (Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series and Xbox One).
The player controls Linda, a high school student trapped in an old abandoned town. Equipped with her trusty smart-phone and an SLR camera, she will battle against terrifying encounters and solve mysterious puzzles which will ultimately determine her fate.
Linda will experience stirrings of unfamiliar powers, emerging from within her. These new found abilities might just be the only way she can save her own life and those of her friends.
The remaster collection will not only include the main game, with an updated graphics and controls arranged for consoles, but also the episode “Keepers of the Dark” that was published on PC in 2016: in this missing chapter, Linda will face the challenges of the DreadOut world with even more dangers lurking within.
Follow the event in which Linda was transported by “The Mysterious Lady in Red” into The Mirror Realm, a portal of worlds that connects it to 8 haunted dominions where more than a dozen horrific ghosts are ready to greet her in the most terrifying way possible.
DreadOut: Remastered Collection will be published in Japan and Asia markets in both digital and physical forms for PlayStation 5 and Switch, but not specific date has been revealed yet. English language will be also supported.
