Contra: Operation Galuga physical version announced

Contra: Operation Galuga is a remake of the original arcade game released by Konami in 1987.

It was announced in September 2023 just before the Tokyo Game Show event and was digitally released worldwide in March 2024.
The game keeps the original gameplay, a side scrolling action game, where the player has to set free the Galuga Island from a group of terrorists called Red Falcon; this remake besides a high definition graphics adds 4 new characters, a Challenge Mode featuring 30 different missions and a Perk Shop that allows characters to enhance their capabilities and abilities.

Today Superdeluxe Games have announced a physical release for the game in Japan, the basic edition will include a manual while the Deluxe version will also include:
– original cardboard box
– soundtrack on 2 CDs
– a mini magazine
– a trading card

Contra: Operation Galuga will be released in Japan by Superdeluxe Games for Switch and PlayStation 5 on 5 September 2024 and supports English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian languages.
