Originally announced in 2019 for an early 2022 release, Breakers Collection is now planned to be release for Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox Series at the end of the year.
The compilation includes both titles originally released for arcades and Neo Geo home systems : Breakers was released in 1996, featuring 8 characters and with a gameplay similar to Fatal Fury; Breakers Revenge was released only for arcades in 1998 and includes a new character and the boss is also playable, a rebalanced gameplay and some graphics modifications in some stages.
Breakers Collection includes a Training Mode, Team Battle Mode, the Interactive Replay function which allows the player to take control of a recording at any point and a Gallery Mode which includes marketing materials.
The online mode is built using rollback netcode and includes lobbies for players; after the launch online and offline tournaments will be available.
