Today City Connection has announced that the next release in their “Saturn Tribute” series will be Batsugun.
Batsugun is a vertical shoot’em up developed by Toaplan and originally released for arcades in 1993 and then ported exclusively on Saturn in 1996.
There are 3 different ships in the game and by collecting experience points it’s possible to make the ship more powerful.
There are several modes available, the Original Mode is the same of the arcade release with 5 stages and 1 ending, the Special Version Mode is similar to the Saturn porting with 14 stage in total and a better balance, the Boosted Mode includes a new user interface, an online ranked mode and other additional elements.
Batsugun will be released retail in Japan on 25 May and a Limited Edition is also planned.
