Assault Suit Leynos 2 is the new entry in the “Saturn Tribute” from City Connection that has been announced before Tokyo Game Show 2023.
The game was originally released on Sega Saturn in 1997 and it’s a classic mecha 2D side scrolling action game highly focused on robot’s weapon customization.
This new version adds a “Rewind Function” that allows the player to resume the game by certain amount of time and a “Quick Save/Load Function” that can be used anytime.
The game is going to be released in digital form for Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series and PC but in Japan a physical version will be also available for Switch and PlayStation 5.
A limited edition is also planned and will include a special cardboard box, the official fan book “Assault Suit Leynos 2 Unveiled Report”, a B7-size poster design sticker, a reversible jacket and an original soundtrack on CD.
Assault Suit Leynos 2 Saturn Tribute will be available from 25 April 2024 for Switch and PlayStation 5.
