Abyss Ring is, according to his creator, a dungeon survival roguelike game.
Japanese indie developer Northern Studio has officially showed the game last week during the indie event Tokyo Dungeon 7 that saw the participation of 280 developers from all over Japan.
In Abyss Ring players dive into randomly generated dungeons, cook monsters they encounter along the way to fight hunger while aiming to reach for the deepest 100th floor.
Players have a hunger level and need to eat during their adventures. The key to this is the so called “monster cooking“: by combining the main ingredients with the monsters and the seasonings and ingredients obtained, over 100 types of dishes can be created.

Since it is a roguelike game, if the character’s player is defeated the level will return to 1. However, by diving deeper, skill points can be earned and used to acquire a variety of magic and passive skills to develop the character.
Abyss Ring is set to be published worldwide on PC in the first half of this year and multi-languages are supported (English, Spanish and Russian).
