Slave Zero X

Slave Zero X gets a physical release

Slave Zero X is a prequel of the game Slave Zero originally released in 1999 for PC and Dreamcast.

Unline it’s predecessor that was a third person shooter, Slave Zero X is a side scrolling hack and slash with 2.5D graphics; the gameplay is highly influenced by Devil May Cry series : normal combos, aerial combos, dodges and dashes are necessary to defeat the huge amount of enemies or the mini-bosses that occasionally come up.
It’s important to master the combo system to understand which combos can be used together to slash powerful attacks and the Training Mode should be tried for first in order to practice combos and attack.

The game, developed by Poppy Works, feels like an homage to 90s action titles not only the 2.5D graphics but also the soundtrack, strongly inspired by that period by the heavy use of drum and bass.

Slave Zero X is planned to be released worldwide in digital form for Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, but in Japan the game is also coming in physical version for Switch and PlayStation 5 on the same day, 22 February 2024 thanks to Beep Japan, both Japanese and English languages have been confirmed.

A Limited Edition is also planned and includes :
– a manual booklet
– Slave Zero X comic and art book
– Slave Zero Retro Game Collector Edition (Reproduction of PC Edition)
– Slave Zero X + Slave Zero original soundtrack on CD (+ downloadable code)
– a set of postcards + original sticker
– Steam code for Slave Zero (only by pre-ordering the game)
