(PCE) Dragon Spirit

A great success in arcades in 1987 and consequently Dragon Spirit was ported the following year to many platforms, included PC Engine.
It’s a vertical shoot’em up where the player controls a dragon in a journey to save princess Alicia who was kidnapped by the evil serpent Zawell. The dragon has two weapons, a flame projectile and a bomb which is used to destroy enemies on the ground; during the nine stages the player can found some eggs which grant some power-ups to the dragon : blue orbs add a head to the dragon and orange orbs strengthen dragon’s shots.
PC Engine port was well realized, with a nice graphics and a great challenge.
