Rushing Beat X playable at Taipei Game Show 2025

Rushing Beat X is the new chapter in the Rushing Beat series, published in the 90’s on Super Famicom by Jaleco.

The game was originally announced during Tokyo Game Show 2023 but after that no more news were revealed.

Rushing Beat X : Return of the Brawl Brothers, this is the complete title, is a side scrolling beat’em up and the story is connected to previous titles, Rushing Beat Ran (Brawl Brothers in the West) and Rushing Beat Shura (The Peace Keepers in the West).

The gameplay has changed to 3D polygon graphics but keeping the side scrolling action like its predecessor; regarding the gameplay, by using normal attacks, throwing techniques and facing powerful enemies, characters stats will increase and so new fighting techniques will become available.

City Connection have announced that the game will be showed during the incoming Taipei Game Show 2025 which opens tomorrow, 23 January, and will end on Sunday 26 January.

Officially the game has been only announced for PC, a trial version is playable on Taipei Game Show 2025, and a Steam page is also available, but there are high chances that the game at least will be published also on Switch (not clear if only in digital or also in physical form, but it was confirmed on X/Twitter by Clear River Games).

Considering the game is planned to be released this year, as stated by City Connection themselves and the Steam page, probably more information will be released during the event in Taipei.
