Blade Chimera is a new side scrolling action game from Team Ladybug, already known for Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth and Drainus and the upcoming physical release of Touhou Luna Knights.
Set in Dark Osaka, a city in a near future where demons and ghouls have appeared from nowhere, the player controls Shin, a Demon Hunter who lost his memories.
In order to recall details of his past and his missing wife, he has to defeat demons and recollect his lost skills in a exciting occult-inspired cyberpunk metroidvania game featuring a unique skill tree system.
Shin is exploring the city together with his sword, a transformed demon called Lux; each time Shin recollect a lost skill, Lux changes form according to the will of her wielder, making Shin stronger and granting access to more areas of the world, for example Lux can be temporary transformed into a grapple or a small platform to reach higher locations.
Blade Chimera is planned to be released in 2024 for both Switch and PC (Steam), the publisher, Playism, currently has not confirmed if the game will be released only in digital form or a physical edition for Switch is also planned.
