Today Zuiki, in collaboration with Konami, has revealed the new system joining the “mini console” family : Dance Dance Revolution Classic Mini.
This mini console reproduces the original cabinet in scale 1/5 used by Konami for their Dance Dance Revolution series that from 1998 contributed to popularizing the rhythm game genre throughout the World.
Announced for the 25th anniversary of the series, the DDR Classic Mini includes a 5 inches screen and also a HDMI output so it can be connected to bigger screens and includes the most popular songs from the first three titles : Dance Dance Revolution, Dance Dance Revolution 2nd Mix and Dance Dance Revolution 3rd Mix.
Both Dance Pads can be detached from the console and used on PC as controller for “Dance Dance Revolution Grand Prix” or thanks to the USB-C ports available on the back a dedicated DDR controller can be connected to the DDR Classic Mini and the game can be played with feet as the original arcade mode and PlayStation ports.
The mini console size is 399 mm high, 217 mm wide and 131 mm deep while the Dance Pad size is 201 mm x 163 mm and directional buttons are around 50 mm each one.
The Cabinet also includes eye-catching light effects like the original arcade counterpart and the original pop installation card (reprint) for the 3 titles included in the system.
No details have been revealed for the release date so we keep awaiting for further communication.
